Philadelphia – Penn Libraries staff, unionizing as AFSCME DC 47 Local 590 Penn Libraries United, announced this fall the results of their August election conducted by the National Labor Relations Board.

The Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living (DAIL) and the Vermont Department of Health (VDH) are working on a project in support of the direct care workforce in Choices for Care, the Brain Injury Program, Developmental Services, and Children’s Personal Care Services. We are doing a follow up from the 2021-2022 survey to learn more about our direct care workforce (such as personal care attendants or direct support professionals) and gather feedback directly from workers about their jobs.
