VOTE for YOUR Bargaining Committee

UPDATE! Nominations are coming in. CLICK HERE to see the Bargaining Committee nominees in your county.

Watch for ballots in your mail after NOVEMBER 4, 2013.

Congratulations! You are the winner of the homecare union you fought so hard to organize. The results of the vote count by the Vermont Labor Relations Board showed overwhelming support for AFSCME Vermont Homecare United.

Now, for the first time, Vermont providers will have a unified voice to bargain for increased wages, benefits, and advocate for better funding of our programs.  But there is still work to be done

READY! SET! Let’s GO to the next step:
VOTING for the Bargaining Committee that will negotiate our contract!

CLICK HERE to see AFSCME Vermont Homecare United’s nominations for the Bargaining Committee to be elected by independent homecare providers like us. Bargaining Committee members will be elected by us to negotiate our contract with the State of Vermont.

 THE BARGAINING COMMITTEE

The Bargaining Committee will be made up of 20 elected homecare providers. Each county will elect representatives to the Committee. Each elected Bargaining Committee member will represent about 500 homecare providers in their county. Once elected, Bargaining Committee members will be trained in contract negotiation.

 THE CONTRACT ACTION TEAM

There are other ways to support the contract negotiation process without running for the Bargaining Committee. Contract Action Team members will contact and communicate with providers in your area to keep them updated on contract negotiations.
